What Size is the Open Notebook?
The Open notebook currently comes in one ideal size for portability and utility – 5½” × 7½”. The size is slightly smaller than a standard Steno notebook (6″ × 9″) which has allowed us to maximize a single press sheet and reduce waste (and fit easier in your back pocket).

How Many Pages are in a Notebook?
Our current notebook includes 40 pages of wonderfully smooth yet toothy paper. Perfect for sketches or notes or keeping score in an impromptu card game.

Will you ship to my address?
Currently, individual online orders are for pick-up only. 

Will you ship for a custom order?
Shipping is included to one delivery location for custom orders only. 

When and where do I pick up my order?
All orders are processed Monday to Friday and are ready for pick-up within two business days of placing your order. An email will be sent to the email provided confirming your order is ready for pick-up at the Studio Locale office in Kitchener.

Which organization is being supported?
As a studio, we focus our giveback efforts to help organizations supporting movements as well as causes specifically around youth, equality and the environment. All profits for this initial phase will be donated to Food4Kids. 

100% of profits donated?
It is true. With each notebook sold we will donate 100% of the profits directly to a chosen local organization. Inside of each notebook is a QR code which links to a page noting which organization your notebook has supported directly.

Can we pick an organization to support?
Currently, we have pre-chosen local organizations to support with the current supply of notebooks. However, we are open (pun intended) to suggestions of new local organizations needing support. Please feel free to email us at open@studiolocale.com.

Add your logo to open’s notebooks and give directly to a local organization in need. A perfect giveaway for staff, customers, and partners (minimum 500 books). More information can be found here.

Are the books created sustainably?
We use only papers sourced and manufactured in both Canada and the U.S.A. (from the Great Lakes region and Quebec) and print locally in the greater Kitchener-Waterloo region. This project was created with the belief of supporting the local economy and jobs with our suppliers. It also limits the amount of carbon emissions by reducing the distance our paper travels.

We always use soy-based inks and acid-free paper.

All of our body paper suppliers and some cover papers are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), an industry group that ensures paper is manufactured responsibly.

The note paper comes from Sustana based in Quebec. They were formerly known as Rolland and have been producing one of, if not, the most environmentally sustainable papers available today.

All our printers and paper manufacturers recycle their waste, some re-use their waste onsite as part of their manufacturing process.

What do you do with the information I share about myself when ordering?
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information to contact you regarding any issues or questions about your orders. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.
